Arts Education Scholarship
The Arts Education Scholarship is designed to support entering or in-college art students pursuing degrees in art majors. Each year, five recipients will be awarded $1,000 scholarships to assist with their educational expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
Enrolled in an accredited arts program.
U.S. citizen.
Resident of the DMV area.
GPA of 3.0 or above.
Application Requirements:
Completed application form.
Personal essay.
Portfolio of work.
Scholarship Timeline:
Application Period:
November (post-Thanksgiving) to April 15
Decision Period:
April 16 to May 31.
Winners Announced: June 1.
Benefits for Recipients:
Financial support of $1,000.
Artist Fellowship Grant
The Artist Fellowship Grant supports artists and aspiring artists in their creative endeavors. Each year, five recipients will receive grants of $1,000 to fund specific artistic projects.
Eligibility Requirements:
U.S. citizen.
Resident of the DMV area.
17 years of age or older.
Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Portfolio of work.
Specific project proposal for funding.

Winners Announced:
The week before Christmas.
Benefits for Recipients:
Financial support of $1,000. Spotlight placement on the OHIOH Cares website, including a link to their portfolio or professional website. Potential for additional promotional opportunities through our Artist Spotlight program.
